So naked, so dead. Alo Girl is the solo noise project of Cristiano Renzoni based in Milan, Italy. He also runs the unbelivably dedicated harsh noise record label Urashima. The sounds within this cassette are bound to turn heads and cement Alo Girl's place within the large database of excellent Italian noise projects throughout the years. Highly recommended! Edition of 30.

BSC is one of Richard Ramirez's better known project and this cassette will explain why. An hour of pure pollutive noise to fill your speakers and spin your head. Abbrassive with calm passages coupling ambient electronics with field recordings. Limited to 50 copies, black ink on black card.

40 minutes of ugly harsh exploitation. 4 pieces of relentless synth death and burning static. Ugly but lovely work from this German resident. Following the full length tape on Matching Head and the debut one-sided 7" on TA; Doom Ape continues to explore the "doom" (very loosly termed) genre in a very dictaphonic, experimental and off kilter sort of way. Norwegian harsh noise at it's finest. Taking a leaf out of the book of the forefathers like Lasse Marhaug, Andreas Brandal (also of Lupus Golem, The Hour of the Wolf and the Twilight Luggage label) crafts two 20 minute sides of expert experimental music which only someone at the top of their game can produce. Highly thought out and perfectly executed harsh noise.

Mutant Turd, transported back in time to the height of GG Allin. They ship him off to Cuba, he plays in Cuba. At the same time in Leeds, England the Mutant Turd boys listen to his performance over a short wave radio, plug it into an amp and release a tape. Full colour covers.

Two live recordings in about 40 minutes of junk noise trash from Northern England. The first side is taken from Newcastle which see's Gillham from Snotnosed/Drunk In Hell and Baines playing the infamous Distraction Records weekender at The Cluny in 2005. Gillham, Baines and Dave/Milovan from Smell & Quim tear it up in Leeds as part of the Curmudgeon alldayer at the Packhorse in a bloody noise battle. Pro dubbded tapes in a pro dubbed fold out cover featuring all manner of grotesque artwork inside a PVC bag. Limited to 77 copies.

The second Progeria Youth release, the follow up to 2005's "Dirty Disease" CD-r. Recorded last year via the post. This release see's the lads go into more focused territory but with that rough-round-the-edges approach from before. Full colour art by Proctor.

Evil cogs turning and bass tones thuddering over a drawn out fog of sound. Oubliette (USA) clears things up for you with the straight forward lo-fi harsh madness that he is known for. Conceptual release with the first tape being a heavily edited and dense sound collage of static wall spit and the other tape being pure dense sine wave on one side and pink noise (on a pink tape) on the other! Tapes come printed in a large vinyl case with minimal artwork. Really please with this one! Sick Buildings! Limited to 100 copies.

Expert Pacific North West Harsh Noise USA! The Sunken deliver two sharp 5 minute blast of grotesque pedal abuse. Babies cry as bottles are smashed over a bad of dense electronics on Side B from Khellso, the collaborative project between PNW's Skellaten and Suicidal Tendons. Comes in standard jewel case with two inserts and a nice printed label on the tape. Horrible but bloody great!

Warrior Breed was my first ever band that me and my cousin started in the garage when I was about 13. "If it's your first band, presumably it sounds shit and shouldn't be released?" Yes, it sounds quite bad and it probably shouldn't be released. Although here it is; purely for the fact that it reminds me of the better days, I think it necassary to get out there so fuck off eh? Split cassette from two of the most realiable names in the noise/drone world. Lee Stokoe's Culver project has appeared throughout Turgid Animals catalogue since the beginning and over the past 10 years or so since the project began, he has cemented himself as a master of his craft, scoring big points for England's dodgy music "scene". Much in the same way Richard Ramirez and his Werewolf Jerusalem project has for the USA across the ocean. Culver's side focuses on the slow moving and doom laden drone side of what would these days be called wall noise and Werewolf Jerusalem's side offers up a more ecstatic and brighter sound and take on the HNW genre. Highly recommended!
